The Empty Bowl Project is back for another year! Help support those in need in our community and celebrate our local artistic talent by purchasing an Empty Bowl now through Friday, May 19th! As an added bonus, you will get some beautiful, handmade wares for your Mason City home!

There are 100 Empty Bowls for sale at Mason City’s new CENT Credit Union (25 West Street and 3124 4th Street SW). All proceeds from the bowls benefit those most in need in our community. The Empty Bowl project supports Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank (122 South Adams Avenue, Mason City), a great local organization that provides emergency food for families referred to the organization. Help make a difference in someone’s life and buy one of these beautiful bowls!

The Empty Bowls were designed by Pamela Bergo Coffey, Peggy Cornick, Rebecca Hill, Linda Hunt, Margie Kline, Bill Mateer, Tina Wilhm, Katie Jo Wold, Pepsi Beverages Company, and Newman Catholic High School art students. Bowls created by professional artists are available for a $50 or more donation. Bowls by individuals and students are available for a $20 or more donation. Each bowl purchase also includes a ticket to the Empty Bowl Luncheon which will be held Friday, May 19th.

The Empty Bowl project raised over $3,000 last year. Let’s beat that number to help Hawkeye Harvest Food Bowl to reach even more in our community this year!
