Visitors to this park can canoe and kayak on the river, get active on the tennis and basketball courts, and have fun on the playground. Operated by Worth County, Plymouth Pits Wildlife Area offers 33 acres of native prairie uplands and wooded areas. It is the perfect spot for wildlife viewing and fishing. It is also open to deer, pheasant, and turkey hunting during certain times of the year.

 

Education in Plymouth, IA

Plymouth students are educated through the Central Springs Community School District. This small district has 2 campuses in nearby Manly and Nora Springs. PreK through 3rd-grade students and 9th through 12th graders from Plymouth travel to the Manly campus (105 South East Street), which houses an Elementary School and the district’s High School. Sixth through 8th graders attend the Central Springs Middle School (509 North Iowa Avenue) in Nora Springs.

Although there are no medical facilities located within Plymouth, residents do not need to travel far for excellent medical care.
